Every IBSC Party heading out should leave a ‘route card’ with a responsible person to act a monitor.
The monitor can be in another party from the same trip or via the Trips: WhatsApp channel if there is only one party on the trip (ie a small day trip).
The route card should list:
- Who is in the party
- The general plan for the day
- Any emergency kit carried
- the time expected back
At the end of the day when safe back, you must let the monitor know.
If a party is late back, follow emergency procedures and do not hesitate to call 999 and ask for Police, then Mountain Rescue.
