And we’re off! The IBSC Winter season opened in brilliant style on Saturday with our first day trip of the season. This saw two parties of 6 members making their way up the newly signed touring access route (Day Lodge Poma & then M2), avoiding the downhill traffic on the zig-zags & traverse.
The more experienced group were able to enjoy some superlative early season conditions off the back of Cairngorm with powder laps of the south slopes. Our newer members were with our trip contact Al Todd and had a great skin up to the summit and a quick descent with freshies into upper Coire Raibert. It was all very social with lots of other club members out doing their own things.
